For some reason I woke up late, having snoozed my alarm over and again until I finally got up almost two hours after the set time. Like that wasn’t bad enough, I still felt like I got up on the wrong side of my bed. Oh that I could go back to sleep and hopefully wake up on the right side. I was also behind schedule on my tasks for the day so I had to rush through the usual routines and head out.
I was late for my appointment at the studio but thankful that my time there went well. Traffic was not that bad, so I arrived at my next appointment in good time. Our discussions went really well – we arrived at a good resolve for the jobs to be done. I ran some other errands before going to pick up my kids from school. As we left the school premises to the major road, we saw the horrible traffic afar. I quickly took an alternate route – not my preferred road at all.
Surprisingly, it wasn’t that bad. Apparently, the road had been smoothened a bit but it was still a very dusty and bumpy ride. As I made my way to reconnect to another path that would get me home in a few minutes, I spotted a group of about four girls each hawking various food items. This led me to buy plantain at one of the cheapest prices I had ever purchased it in a long while. Was I glad? You bet! I was ecstatic. At that instance, I realized that my day did not go that bad. Actually, it went really well!
