I wore a pair of brown and orange sandals to the hospital that day. A number of persons were generous with compliments on how beautiful they were. I grinned with delight. As I responded with ‘thank-yous’, I was quick to add that the sandals were made by me.

Some people expressed their shock; a few others, disbelief.  Good thing is that both reactions were awesome conversation starters and provided an avenue for me to market my skills and products even more. You see Doat & Claire was established to provide bespoke fashion solutions to the clothing needs of children and the footwear needs of men, women and children. It was such a delight to attend to questions and inquiries from prospective clients.

Queen was one of the few who went on further to make inquiries as to how to order some footwear for her husband. I was glad to explain the order/payment/delivery process to her after showing her a catalogue of items to choose from. She ordered three pairs of sandals for her husband a few weeks later. Each item was made with intent to empower and inspire confidence when worn. What’s more is that we always made sure to add our secret formula – LOVE – during every production and at every juncture of our interaction with the client.

It was such a pleasure to have her feedback and criticisms.

Our joy knew no bounds when Queen called on us again some months later, requesting us to make another batch of well-crafted handmade slippers and sandals for her husband. This time, he wanted ten pairs! He had worn our brand for about nine months and was thrilled at the quality, comfort and affordability of our products. We had earned his trust. Our team swung to action. Again we ensured that every phase of the production cycle was carried out with excellence to reflect our organization’s values.

All ten pairs were made, branded, packaged and delivered within the pre-agreed time line.

It is such an amazing feeling to serve. It is even more awe-mazing when you represent passion, capacity and trust. Of course I got monetary reward for my services, but more importantly I was rewarded with the currency of Trust and that is an investment that keeps you earning.
